GitHub has introduced a new REST API designed to streamline project management, enabling developers to list projects, access details, and manage items with greater efficiency. The API supports adding or removing issues and pull requests, as well as updating field values, marking a significant upgrade for workflow integration.
Sub-issues now inherit project and milestone information from parent issues by default, ensuring consistency across related tasks. Cross-organization functionality has also been added, allowing sub-issues to belong to different organizations—a MOVE poised to enhance collaborative efforts in decentralized development environments.
